Developing
Men and Women of Integrity: The
vision of DCI is to build future leaders of honor and integrity. Students learn how to face life issues using ethical standards
such as: purity, conflict resolution and integrity.
DCI Is a Well- Rounded Program: Each day's schedule focuses on a person's spiritual,
mental, and physical growth. The daily schedule of activities include Praise & Worship, Prayer, Classroom Instruction,
and outreach.
Addressing Social Issues: Programs
are designed to capitalize on the gifts and callings of team members and to maximize their potential to impact people with
the love of Jesus. Students are trained in the field on how to restore communities through programs such as: Adopt-A-Block,
mentoring programs and outreach projects. We train people in cross-cultural ministry, and to empower them to reach out to
people groups unlike themselves. People around the world are coming to the realization that they can be fully radical and
fully Christian.
Belize Central America is one of the most exotic and diverse places imaginable!: Formally known as British Honduras, it is a part
of the British Common Wealth - Belize received it's independence in 1981. It has always had a stable democratic form of
government. The main Language spoken is English making it easy for US and Canadian Mission teams to communicate. The population
of Belize is approximately 275,000. The main ethnic groups are Creole (African Descent) and Mestizo (Spanish-Maya). A Short
Term Missions Team will spend their week of missions training at the Belize Central America Campus that is located seventeen
miles north of Belize City. This campus is located near the Belize Jungle that is filled with exotic animals. Every day following
morning classes, students travel from village to village using Dream Center programs to reach poor people.
Mission 's work is
important but Safe Mission Work is even more important. :While staying in Belize, mission teams stay on the DCI Missionary Campus.
On the grounds there is a Caribbean style guest house and a Jungle style camp building. The missionary base
is located in a very safe area and is a gated campus where young people seek the Lord's direction for the rest of their
life. After a long day of ministry, people find that the property is a beautiful, peaceful setting to rest and enjoy one another's
company.
